Genetic blueprint of four Asian hornbills offers new tool for hornbill research

Scientists generated reference genomes for four threatened Asian hornbill species—great, rufous-necked, Malabar-pied, and wreathed hornbills. The high-quality assemblies, developed by researchers from India's Nature Conservation Foundation and CSIR-CCMB, provide new tools for hornbill conservation research and species protection.
